Tyra Banks picks the UAE as the headquarters for her ice cream company’s global expansion

Tyra Banks, the supermodel-turned-entrepreneur, has chosen Abu Dhabi as the first international market for her worldwide ice cream brand, Smize Cream.

According to state news agency WAM, the US businesswoman and American television personality said she was inspired by the UAE’s achievements over the past 50 years when speaking at the Access Granted talk series.

“It has evolved from the sand to the Moon.” The country’s beauty and warmth had an impact on me. “It’s also progression of empowering women,” she added.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and Maven Global are collaborating on the Access Granted talk series to enable US companies run by women and minority entrepreneurs expand in Abu Dhabi and act as a conduit to the wider Middle East market.

The program is part of Abu Dhabi’s goal to entice international corporations to establish regional headquarters in the emirate.

Banks expressed her delight at the opportunity to discuss the potential and obstacles that women face in business and technology, as well as how she hopes to use Web3 into her company strategy.
