Organisers of Expo 2020 Dubai have recorded more than seven million visits to the event since its launch in October.
The Expo is the largest major global event to be held during a pandemic, even though some events are suspended as a precautionary measure amid COVID-19 fears.
Shows and performance arts by roaming artists have been suspended, and the Expo has increased the PCR testing facilities.
Meanwhile, some close contact events like parades have been suspended.
In a statement, the Expo organisers said they are ensuring a safe and exceptional event for all attending, by maintaining robust COVID-19 measures.
Over 90 per cent of the Emirates’ population is vaccinated, while the Expo has required mandatory vaccination of all participants and visitors.
